Gentle Tom Landry – Did Not Disappoint

Tom Landry Autograph

This is an example of a Tom Landry autograph, this example was obtained by me through the mail or TTM. The first time I wrote Mr. Landry via the mail, he sent the item back within 2 weeks. The second time I sent him an item in the mail, it was this Football card, from the Pro Set manufacturing company. It took about 1 month, I did not know it until the card was returned to me signed, with a note. The note was from his wife, and it stated that Tom had been hospitalized and that is why the item was delayed. Later on I was able to find out that Tom Landry was battling Leukemia, sadly. Can you imagine, asking someone for an autograph and that person telling you that the reason they were delayed with your item, was an illness. It speaks volumes about the type of person he was as well as his family. His wife wrote the note.

Today, you’re lucky if the athlete, coach, or actor you are seeking an autograph from, does not send you to Hell and back. Boy times certainly have changed. Out with the 1960’s, and 1970’s went human decency. Take it from me, an autograph collector for the better part of nearly 40 years. It is not common. Insults, bad looks, and temperament are. Jason Kidd Gets The Call To The Hall

Jason Kidd – HOF 2018

A moment that many of us have waited for…Jason Kidd, and the Call to the Hall…2018 Hall of Fame. Jason Kidd has really done it all, NBA Championship, long career, coach, that is just about as full circle as a career gets. So as an autograph collector and memorabilia enthusiast I jumped on the opportunity to take a shot and meet him, and he did not disappoint. Jason Kidd as the coach of the Milwaukee Bucks did not disappoint me. I met him in Miami, while the Bucks were playing the Miami Heat.

So the low down on the kidd was, he would not sign, and if he did it would be a good experience. That is the main reason, that I my friends, don’t listen to anyone when it comes to graphs, and encounters. I treated the guy with respect, and not only did he sign multiples for me, he took the time to make sure that he did not dark-spot any of the pics that he signed for me. For those of you that do not know what a dark-spot is, basically when an autograph gets done, and most of the graph is not legible because of the black or dark colored sharpie or pen, blends into the background of the photo. Thus dark-spot. I would like to personally thank Jason Kidd for the encounter, and I wish you many good things!!!
