Beginning A Collection

My collection spans are large variety of items, to include autographed mini-helmets, baseballs, bats, footballs, basketball sneakers, sports cards, and a large amount of autographed photos. Once you decide to begin a collection, it is very easy to let that collection stray in many different areas of collectibles and it will cause you some uncertainty as to where your collection is headed.

I talk from experience, as you can see I collect everything. Some items are easy to display others are just plain old un-displayable. For instance sports memorabilia cases of basketballs are just huge, and unless you live in a mansion and even then are wife-less, it just is not happening!

I have found from my own experiences that, if you like to display your collectibles and let’s be frank, everyone likes to show off their collection, even though when you sit in the dark, I know all of you sit there and rub your hands together, just to get that blood rush into your body in warp speed fashion, as you think of your newest collectible addition or any piece in your collection, that gives you that extreme joy, come on just admit it.

Mini-Helmet Displays

Anyway bear with me, I get sidetracked sometimes. I personally enjoy displaying my items. I have found that mini-helmet displays are the nicest in my opinion and easiest to handle because the item inside is not heavy. Baseball displays are also smaller and more decorative and make for nice displays and also easy to display virtually anywhere in the home.

The company that I have used in the past and would continue to use is mounted memories. They have a nice assortment of displays and also create a name plate for your item. Besides displays they also have many certified autographed items that are accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.

My very own collections mostly all items are accompanied with a certificate of authenticity, unless I obtain the autograph in person and in that case I obtain a photo with the athlete or celebrity signing the item. I hope that these tips are helpful as you obtain your very own sports memorabilia collection.

Collect Sports Autographs Today

Sports autographs are easy to obtain with BC Collectibles. I have been a customer of BC Collectibles for about 6 years now. Throughout my autograph hunting phases, I have always taken time to utilize their autograph initiative program. Here is how it works, as a collector of sports cards and celebrity autographs you are able to gain real dollar points with every sports card purchase. They match dollar for dollar with a BC Collectibles debit card. After every purchase they deposit $25.00 for every $175.00 purchase into your debit card. Doing this I have amassed nearly 20 authentic autographs on mini helmets, which is something I enjoy to collect.

Their items stem from autographed framed photos to baseballs, footballs, mini helmets and many other nice items. All of their items come with a certificate authenticity, BC collectibles is a reputable distributor of autographs. BC Collectibles has many sessions in their own stores nationwide that hold signing autographs sessions in various locations. Over the last two years I have acquired Barry Sanders, which everyone pretty much knows that Barry Sanders stays out of the limelight, making this a tough autograph to obtain. I have also acquired De’Marcus Ware the Dallas Cowboys star lineman in their 3-4 defense.

NFL Football Mini Helmet Collections

I will be displaying my mini helmet collection on my pages before the end of the football season to inspire those collectors out there that are contemplating whether or not to start a collection. Football autographs are fun to collect on either footballs, jerseys, or mini helmets. I prefer the mini-helmets because of the smaller space the stands take up. Like with any sport, at BC Collectibles the prices seem to come down some, when the sport is out of season, stock up on your purchase now and buy the autographs after the Superbowl. They seem to go down in price then.

If you would rather try to obtain the autograph in person to save on funds, try to at least also take a photograph of the star or celebrity signing the autograph in order to add some validity to your efforts. You may one day not want to keep the autograph in your collection and this will make selling the item easier. Keep on collecting autographs their fun and sometimes free…
